OUTLINE
Overview: This course is designed to offer basic tools in assisting participants develop a proper understanding of the Bible. It will cover biblical history, authorships, scriptural authority, relevancy, and interpretation. After completing this study, participants should be able to do the following:
- Explain the difference between inspired and uninspired
- Define the word authority in relations to the Bible
- Identify the ways in which the meaning of Scripture is established through the divine origin and authority of the Holy Spirit
- Distinguish between the objective and subjective components of authority
- Identify the different categories of the Bible
- Explain how we got the Bible
